Another great one with many specifics is how a Private Equity Wealth fund named MGG Investments in New York teamed up with the CEO of United Gaming who is in partnership with IGT and the Georgia Lottery to purchase 42 Shari's Restaurant locations in 2023 in Oregon. The Oregon Lottery, MGG, and IGT then worked together to launder money and inflate the slot revenues in these mainly vacant and run-down restaurants. These locations produced the highest slot revenue and commissions for the Lottery in FY 2024. Shari's was closed in October of 2024 and then a whole new layer of crime begins in Insurance fraud.
